I've decided that I need to set up some self challenges. Sort of like a photo contest that only I'm participating in to challenge myself! So, I created a list of shoots that I want to capture, and over the next few months I'm going to be working on my list of challenges, here are a few examples of what I'm trying to achieve:

Heavy Metal
Summers End
Behind Closed Doors
Shadowy Silhouettes
In 10 Minutes Time
Water, Water, Everywhere
It’s all a blur
Every week or few days I will post the challenge, and the instructions and my photos. I'm thinking that I'm going to try and set up a flicker group (Not quite sure how all of that works) but it would be interesting if I could inspire some of you to follow along and do the challenges with me, and post them in the flicker group! So bear with me, this should be interesting, and if nothing else, it will be fun!

St. Patties Day
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I wore my Green! Did you? I also wore my orange sweater, and then I looked at my breakfast, Oranges and Starbucks, and though, Hmm... I'm matching my food today! Coincidence? So, here's a little iPhone love, using filters from this cool app called Instamatic. I'm not sure how I feel about using filters, I normally like the un-edited version of my pictures. All of the pictures on this blog have not be edited, cropped, or touched up in anyway. I'm a natural girl, I like my work to be the same. But, I thought these looked fun, and it is St. Patrick's day after all! :)

Its no secret that I am an iPhone girl!!! When I saw this, I thought it was one of the coolest things! And you could do a lot of spin off ideas of this too. Maybe a virtual High Five, Maybe just one phone with the Guy kissing held up to the real lady's cheek. Maybe a pic of all of their kids they made together. The list goes on and on! I love this idea!

Inspiration - Jill Thomas Photography
One of my favorite things to do is to seek out other photographers and oooo and ahhhh over their work! Looking at photographs always sets my heart on fire and inspires me and makes me want to get up and take some pictures of my own! I recently stumbled across Jill Thomas Photography and I fell in love with this below photo. I hope that one day I'll have a photo taken of me that shows how happy I am in this moment in time!

A visit to Santa Monica... Up on the roof!
Recently my boyfriend and I took a trip down to Santa Monica. I had never been, there was a lot of crazies, (which I did not shoot their photographs)... I actually didn't break out my camera until we were leaving. We were on the roof top just enjoying the scenery. One side of us was the ocean, the other side was the mountains, and then there is this beautiful thing we call the cement jungle in the middle.
